ABSTRACT A piezoelectrical control element consists of a stack of piezoelectric disks having a control opening therein. A back pressure plate positioned on one end of the stack has a central portion extending through the central opening in the stack and is connected to a base plate positioned at the other end of the stack. A resilient device attached to the base plate biases the back pressure plate against the stack of piezoelectric disks.
