ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A metal complex of the formula Image wherein: M represents Cu, Zn, or Ni; Q, Y and Z, which may be the same or different, are chosen from hydrogen, nitro, alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms or alkoxy containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms; X represents O, S, N, CO2 or NR; and R represents an alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, or heterocyclic residue. These compounds find use as pigments in organic materials such as lacquers, paints and printing inks.
