- 1 - Abstract: The invention provides a pigment-containing composition comprising at least one organic pigment irradiated with a low-temperature plasma and at least one polar resin or solvent. The irradiation of the pigment imparts polarity to the particle surfaces and greatly improves the dis- persibility of the particles in the polar resin or solvent. However, the desirable properties of the pigment particles are not adversely affected by the plasma treatment.
