2064006 9101343 PCTABS00003 An acid terminated polyamide is reacted with an alkylene glycol, polyalkylene glycol, nitrogen base or an alkanol amine (followed by neutralization with an alkanoic acid) to provide a pigment dispersant. These dispersants are especially useful for preparing solvent-based packaging inks (i.e., packaging gravure and flexographic inks).
