A pigment dispersion with improved rheology useful for forming solventborne paint compositions is disclosed. The dispersion comprises a copolymer pigment dispersant having at least one quaternary ammonium functional group; a pigment having a pH below 7.0; and an organic liquid carrier. The dispersion is particularly useful for forming colored exterior finishes for automobiles and trucks.
La présente invention concerne une dispersion de pigment à rhéologie améliorée qui est utilisée pour former des compositions de peinture en phase solvant. La dispersion de l'invention comprend un dispersant de pigment polymère renfermant au moins un groupe fonctionnel ammonium quaternaire ; un pigment d'un pH inférieur à 7,0 ; et un véhicule liquide organique. La dispersion précitée est particulièrement utile pour former des revêtements extérieurs colorés destinés aux automobiles et aux camions.
