Re-dispersible pigmented printing ink compositions, preferably for the continuous ink jet printing process are obtained by the addition of a flocculating agent to the pigment dispersion in the printing liquid. The compositions do not form hard sediments and are easy to re-disperse on stopping and resuming the printing operations. Suitable flocculating agents bind the pigment particles in the sediment into three-dimensional "airy" structures, which are easy to break up. The ink compositions of the invention are furthermore characterized by a good printability in the dispersed state.

L'invention concerne des compositions d'encre d'impression pigmentées pouvant être redispersées, utilisées de préférence dans des processus d'impression à jet d'encre continu, et obtenues grâce à l'ajout d'un agent de floculation à la dispersion du pigment dans le liquide d'impression. Les compositions ne forment pas de sédiments durs et sont faciles à redisperser lors de l'arrêt et de la reprise des opérations d'impression. Des agents de floculation adaptés fixent les particules pigmentaires dans le sédiment dans des structures à air tridimensionnelles faciles à casser. Les compositions d'encre de l'invention se caractérisent, de plus, par une bonne capacité d'impression à l'état dispersé.
