A shaped article is disclosed which is formed from a polymer mixture of polyamide polymer, pigment dispersed in a polymeric carrier and about one-half to nine percent free polyester based on the weight of the polymer mixture. A process for making the shaped article is also disclosed, wherein the polymer mixture is melted, mixed and formed into the shaped article. The invention is especially suited for use in forming multifilament yarn, where the use of the invention facilitates the spinning of yarns containing difficult-to-spin pigments. The invention may be advantageously employed using conventional polyamide melt-spinning techniques.

L'invention concerne un article façonné composé d'un mélange polymère d'un polymère de polyamide, d'un pigment dispersé dans le support polymère et d'environ 0,5 à 9 % de polyester libre sur la base du poids du mélange polymère. L'invention concerne également un procédé de production de l'article façonné dans lequel le mélange polymère est fondu, mélangé et transformé en article façonné. L'invention convient particulièrement à une utilisation dans la formation de fil multifilament, dans lequel l'utilisation de l'invention facilite le filage de fils contenant des pigments difficiles à filer. L'invention peut être utilisée avantageusement à l'aide de techniques classiques de filage à chaud de polyamide.
