ABSTRACT Disclosed is a pile pressing device including a pressing carriage equipped with a pressing device. The vertically shiftable pressing carriage is guided in rails and in a groove formed in the front part of a gauge. The pressing device has a sensor acting on a switch connected with a pneumatic cir- cuit comprising a setting element commanding the functions of a pneumatic piston. Two or more pile pressing devices can be arranged side by side along a crosspiece located between two lateral frames. The pile pressing device is particularly useful in the feeding station of a folder-gluer processing large sheets.
