The present invention provides a pillow with a contoured, resilient foam layer, surrounded at least partly by a viscoelastic foam top layer. This provides a pillow that is comfortable to lie on, but which supports a sleeper's head. The pillow also has a neat rectangular appearance to easily fit in a pillowcase.
