ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Pilot operated coolant control valves in a manifold assembly for supplying a coolant under pressure, the coolant control valves are removable assemblies positioned in apertures in a body member closing the manifold, each of said coolant control valve assemblies has a cylindrical valve body apertured inwardly of one end and pilot valve chamber is provided in the cylindrical valve body, a valve element is movably positioned in the pilot valve chamber for movement with respect to a valve seat, a pilot air passageway and a vent air passageway are formed in the cylindrical valve body member communicating with the pilot control valves and the atmosphere, a coolant chamber provided in the manifold, apertures in the cylindrical valve body communicate with the coolant chamber, a solenoid in the pilot control valve moves a solenoid plunger when energized, secondary valve elements are positioned on the ends of said solenoid plunger, a pilot air supply chamber is formed in the manifold and passageways are formed between the pilot control valve and said pilot air supply chamber, the passage- ways communicate with the pilot air chamber to maintain the valve element closed against the valve seat to the flow of coolant when said solenoid coil is de-energized, a spring will move the solenoid plunger to seal said pilot air passageway so that coolant pressure moves said valve element supplying the coolant to a spray nozzle.
