The pinch valve for controlling the fluid flow in a flexible tubing, is comprised of a base member comprising a generally U shaped cavity in which a portion of said flexible tubing can be inserted, a knob member threadedly assembled on said base member, and a plunger comprising a first end facing said knob member and a second end facing said bottom portion of said base member, said first end being rotatably connected to said knob member through a rotary connecting means so to prevent axial separation under normal use conditions. Rotating said knob member in a first direction increases compression of said flexible tubing between said base member and said plunger and rotating said knob member in a second opposite direction releases the compression of said tubing, thus providing adjustment of the fluid flow therein. In a first embodiment, the rotary connecting means comprises a stem provided with a stem head of circular cross-section protruding form the first end of the plunger, and a cavity provided into the knob member for receiving and retaining said stem head. In an alternate embodiment, the stem protrudes from the knob member in the direction of the plunger, and the stem head receiving and retaining cavity is provided into the first end of the plunger. Guiding means prevent the plunger from rotating about its longitudinal axis to preserve the tubing from friction and wear.
