ABSTRACT A compound of the general formula: Image wherein R1 and R2 independently are -H, -CH3-, or -CH2CH3; and R3 is alkyl of from 1 to 10 carbon or aryl of from 6 to 10 carbon, has an extended pine- apple ketone flavour while avoiding wash out problems associated with pineapple ketone, the compound may be used in perfumes, dry flavours, tobacco and chew- ing or bubble gum.
