ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE To align two adjacent pieces of pipe for welding them together a pipe clamp is presented which comprises a plurality of elongated members having a first portion adapted to be tightly strapped along the outer surface of one length of pipe, and having a second portion extending axially to over- lap the end of the adjacent pipe, the second portion having adjustable aligning means adapted to engage the surface of the second piece of pipe and associated with the apparatus is a gauge to assess alignment of the inner surfaces of the pipes.
