ABSTRACT A coupling device for joining lengths of pipe which is comprised of a channel-shaped coupling member which houses a gasket and fits about the flared ends of the pipe lengths to be joined. Latching mechanisms are secured to each end of the coupling member and are operable to draw the two respective ends together, thereby securing the pipe lengths to one another and forming a seal therebetween.
