ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pipe coupling with a sealing gasket enclosed in a housing intended to be applied about the pipe ends which are to be interconnected and having a substantially C-shaped cross-section with end edges constructed as sealing lips which are intended to sealingly bear against a respective one of the pipe ends. Each sealing lip is supported at the web of the sealing gasket by means of an annular or ring-shaped bead arranged at an axial spacing from the lip root or base, and wherein spaces to both sides of the ring- shaped bead are interconnected with one another by throughpassages.
