ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pipe coupling including a tubular portion over which the end of a pipe to be coupled may be engaged. The tubular portion includes an annular boss having an external screw thread carrying a nut having an internal screw thread of a substantially constant pitch. The nut is rotatable on the boss to be movable onto the exterior of the end of a pipe engaged on the tubular portion to clamp the pipe onto the tubular portion. The nut comprises two concentric bores of different diameters. The bore of lesser diameter is complementarily screw threaded to be engagable with the screw threaded annular boss. The bore of greater diameter is screw threaded to be engagable with the outside surface of the pipe.
