A pipe handling apparatus (10) has a boom (16) pivotally movable between a fust position and a second position, a lever assembly (22) pivotally connected to the boom (16), an arm (24) pivotally connected at one end to the first portion of the lever assembly (22) and extending outwardly therefrom, a gripper (26) affixed to a opposite end of the arm suitable for gripping a diameter of the pipe (18), a link (34) pivotally connected to the lever assembly (22) and pivotable so as to move relative to the movement of the boom (16) between the fust and second positions, and a brace (36) having a one end pivotally connected to the boom (16) and an opposite end pivotally to the arm (24) between the ends of the arm (24). The lever assembly (22) has a first portion (48) extending outwardly at an obtuse angle with respect to the second portion (50).
Cette invention se rapporte à un appareil de manipulation de tuyaux (10) comportant une perche (16) pouvant se déplacer de manière pivotante entre une première position et une seconde position, un ensemble levier (22) relié de manière pivotante à la perche (16), un bras (24) relié de manière pivotante par une extrémité à la première partie de l'ensemble levier (22) et s'étendant vers l'extérieur depuis celle-ci, un appareil de préhension (26) fixé à une extrémité opposée du bras et approprié pour saisir un diamètre du tuyau (18), une pièce d'articulation (34) reliée de manière pivotante à l'ensemble levier (22) et pouvant pivoter de manière à se déplacer par rapport au déplacement de la perche (16) entre les première et seconde positions, et une entretoise (36) ayant une extrémité reliée de manière pivotante à la perche (16) et une extrémité opposée reliée de manière pivotante au bras (24) entre les extrémités du bras (24). L'ensemble levier (22) comporte une première partie (48) s'étendant vers l'extérieur selon un angle obtus par rapport à la seconde partie (50).
