A clevis-type pipe hanger has a yoke member and U-strap attached by a clevis bolt. The U-strap has a longitudinally-extending indentation on the inner side thereof forming a protruding rib on the outer side of the U-strap along the rounded portion of the U-strap. The yoke has indentations in its outer side at the bends in the yoke, forming protrusions on the inner side of the yoke. The indentations increase the load-carrying capacity of the hangers.

La bande en U comporte des dentelures qui s'étendent longitudinalement sur le côté intérieur et qui forment une nervure saillante sur le côté extérieur de la bande en U sur la partie arrondie de cette même bande. L'étrier comporte des dentelures sur son côté extérieur là où il est coudé; ces dentelures forment des protubérances sur le côté intérieur de l'étrier. Les dentelures augmentent la capacité de charge des suspensions pour tuyauterie.
