The pipe racker assembly (10) includes a mast (28), a dolly assembly (B) vertically slidably secured to the mast (28) for vertical movement, a handling arms assembly (C) rotatably secured to the dolly assembly (B) and having an upper handling arm (77) extensible to accommodate pipes of varying length and as long as 45 feet and lower arms (78) capable of gripping pipe either from a horizontal pipe rack (R) or from a carousel pipe rack turntable (T) when handling arms are rotated 90° on the dolly assembly. A stabilizer (D) is secured to the ends of handling arms in order to allow the handling arms assembly (C) to be supported remote from the pipe racker assembly to reduce the structural strength requirements of the assembly.

Le système porte-tubes (10) comporte un mât (28), un chariot à tubes (B) fixé au mât (28) d'une manière coulissante lui permettant d'effectuer un mouvement vertical, et un ensemble de bras de manutention (C) montés rotatifs sur le chariot à tubes (B), comportant un bras de manutention supérieur (77) extensible pour pouvoir s'adapter à des tubes de longueurs variables pouvant aller jusqu'à 45 pieds et des bras inférieurs (78) capables de saisir un tube soit sur un porte-tubes horizontal (R), soit sur un porte-tube rotatif du type carrousel (T), lorsque les bras de manutention sont tournés de 90~ sur le chariot à tubes. Un stabilisateur (D) est fixé aux extrémités des bras de manutention, afin de permettre à l'agencement de bras de manutention (C) d'être supporté à un emplacement éloigné du porte-tubes, afin de réduire les contraintes en matière de solidité mécanique du système.
