A B S T R A C T Piperazine - or homopiperazine - monoalkanol esters are disclosed which are represented by the formula: Image where R represents a phenyl group which may be substituted with a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group or a halogen atom, or a styrylgroup or a 2-,3- or 4- pyridyl group which may be substituted with a lower alkoxy group or a salt thereof. The above compound is prepared by reacting a piperazine- or homopiperazine- monoalkanol represented by the formula: Image where n and m each represents 2 or 3, with a benzoic acid comp- ound which may be substituted with a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group or a halogen atom or with a cinnamic acid or with a nicotinic acid compound which may be substituted with a lower alkoxy group.
