TITLE OF THE INVENTION: PIPES MADE OF POLYPROPYLENE REINFORCED WITH CARBON FIBERS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Pipes of polypropylene reinforced with carbon fibers prepared by shaping a composite material comprising 100 parts by weight of polypropylene, 10 to 40 parts by weight of partially modified polypropylene by an organic unsaturated carboxylic acid or a copolymer of propylene and the organic unsaturated carboxylic acid and 5 to 70 parts by weight of carbon fibers of 5 to 30 micrometers in diameter and of a ratio of diameter to length of 10 or more than 10 are disclosed. The rate of maintaining its original tensile strength of the pipe in boiling water for 6 months at 100°C is higher than 95%.
