Abstract of the Disclosure Pitch-based carbon fibers on which silicone type spin finish oils are remained in the amount of 0.1 -2.0% by weight of said fibers and having a stack height of graphitic layers Lc (002) of 16 -28.ANG., a graphitic interlayer spacing distance d002 of 346 -349.ANG., a tensile strength of 5 -50 Kgf/mm2 and an elongation of 0.3 -8.0% are provided. They show good cohesiveness and lubricity of bundles and superior in adaptation to various kinds of processes.
