This invention concerns a plain bearing for mounting shafts or the like, with a bearing body of plastic and a housing which supports the bearing body, said bearing substantially completely surrounds the shaft. The bearing body (1) has a slot (2) which runs along the entire extent of the bearing body axially and at least one deformable area which also runs along the entire extent of the bearing body axially, and which makes it possible to open the slot (2) so that the bearing body (1) essentially can be readily mounted on or removed from the shaft. This drastically reduces the repair effort when the bearing body must be changed. The bearing body (1) can be built out of individual pieces (3), which are connected together by deformable areas built out of flexible film bridges (6), and can be locked into place using projections of the individual pieces (3) which are snap-fitted onto the bearing housing which can be formed of several housing shells secured together.

L'invention concerne un palier lisse servant à supporter des arbres ou éléments analogues, comportant un corps de palier en plastique et une cage soutenant ledit corps, ce palier entourant pratiquement complètement l'arbre qu'il supporte. Le corps de palier (1) présente une fente (2) qui s'étend axialement sur toute la longueur de ce corps, ainsi qu'au moins une zone déformable qui s'étend également axialement sur toute la longueur de ce corps et permet d'ouvrir ladite fente (2) de sorte que le corps de palier (1) puisse être monté sur l'arbre ou retiré de celui-ci sensiblement dans le sens radial. Cela simplifie nettement la réparation lorsqu'il s'agit de remplacer le corps de palier. Le corps de palier (1) peut être constitué de pièces individuelles (3) qui peuvent être reliées par l'intermédiaire de zones déformables formées par des pots (6) en film souple, et peuvent être bloquées au moyen de saillies (7) faisant parties des pièces individuelles (3), lesquelles sont encliquetées sur la cage de palier.
