An Optical Signal Device (50) which is temperature sensitive and has at least one waveguide layer (56) and at least one material (60) incorporated into the device having a coefficient of thermal expansion of from about 20 to 200 ppm/degree Kelvin sufficient to impart tensile stress to the waveguide layers as the temperature of the optical signal device changes.

L'invention concerne un dispositif à signaux optiques (50) sensible à la température et qui comporte au moins une couche (56) de guide d'ondes, et au moins une matière (60) incorporée dans le dispositif présentant un coefficient d'expansion thermique se situant entre environ 20 et 200 ppm/ ·K, suffisant pour conférer une contrainte de traction aux couches de guide d'onde lors d'un changement de la température du dispositif à signaux optiques.
