A visual brake stroke indicator comprising of a bracket that has an elongated member with an attachment portion at one end, and a continuous slot extending along the length of the extended member. The attachment portion may be in the same plane as the elongated member. The elongated member may be tapered in shape to help reduce vibrational forces along the elongated member. The bracket may be mounted to a chamber mounting bracket which supports a brake chamber and a clevis assembly including a clevis pin. The attachnnent portion is generally located at a right angle radius to the rest of the elongated member thereby reducing stress on the elongated member. A spacer plate may be mounted on the elongated arm via an attachment means that also holds in place the indicating means. The indicating means may be mounted at a predetermined distance relative to said clevis pin, the position of the indicating means to said clevis pin being indicative of the brake stroke condition on the vehicle braking system.
