PLANETARY WIRE-FEEDING DEVICE FOR THE FEEDING OF A CONTINUOUS ELECTRODES ( A b s t r a c t ) The device is designed for use in the welding practice. In it the contact line between the pushing rolls and the electrode is approximately equal, regardless of the electrode diameter. Maxi- mum pushing forces are produced for all used diameters of the continuous electrode. The planetary wire-feeding device consists of a housing (1) in which perpendicularly to the electrode (2) there is machined a guiding hole (3) with four helical slots (4, 5, 6, 7) which are at a preset initial angle .alpha. with respect to the path of the electrode (2). In the guiding hole (3) there are disposed two wire-feeding rolls (10,11) with their axles (12, 13) the ends of which are positioned in two opposite helical slots (4 and 6) and (5 and 7), respectively, and the rolls themselves (10, 11) are disposed also in the helical slots (5, 7) and (4, 6), respectively, which are opposite to the respective axle (12, 13). The angle of helix of the helical slots is of from 75° to 78°.
