A dwarf rice mutant d61 is obtained and a gene (OsBRI1) corresponding to the d61 locus is isolated. OsBRI1 enhances the brasinosteroid-sensitivity of plants and exerts its function in the growth and development processes of rice, for example, internode elongation via the induction of the elongation of internode cells and bending of lamina joints. Rice transformants with modifications in the phenotype are constructed by transferring the antisense strand or dominant negative of OsBRI1.
L'invention concerne un d61 mutant de riz nain obtenu et un gène (OsBRI1) correspondant au locus d61 isolé. OsBRI1 renforce la sensibilité des plantes aux brassinostéroïdes et exerce sa fonction lors des processus de croissance et de développement du riz, par exemple, allongement entrenoeud par le biais de l'induction de l'allongement de cellules entrenoeuds et de l'arcure de joints de parenchymes. Les transformants de riz présent des modifications au niveau du phénotype sont construits par transfert du brin antisens ou du négatif dominant de OsBRI1.
