A method of stimulating germination in plant seeds and/or releasing plant tissue or plant organs from dormancy, comprising applying to a seed, plant, plant organ or plant tissue a compound of formula (I): where: R1 is alkyl or H; R2, R3, R4 and R5 are independently selectable from H, halide, -NO2, -SO2R', -OH, - Oalkyl where R' is alkyl or aminoalkyl; and/or R1 and R5 are joined as -O(CH2)m-, where m is 1, 2, 3 or 4; R6 is a substituted or non- substituted alkyl, and/or substituted or non-substituted aryl; and n is an integer of 1 to 4.

Méthode de stimulation de la germination de graines d'un végétal et/ou d'éveil de tissus végétaux ou d'organes végétaux en dormance, ladite méthode comportant l'application à une graine, un végétal, un organe végétal ou un tissu végétal d'un composé de formule (I) où : R1 représente un groupement alkyle ou H; R2, R3, R4 et R5 peuvent être indépendamment choisis parmi H, les halogénures et les groupements -NO2, -SO2R', -OH, - Oalkyle où R' représente un groupement alkyle ou aminoalkyle; et/ou R1 et R5 représentent ensemble -O(CH2)m-, où m est égal à 1, 2, 3 ou 4; R6 représente un groupement alkyle éventuellement substitué, et/ou un groupement aryle éventuellement substitué; et n représente un entier compris entre 1 et 4.
