A description is given of a plant for heat treatment of lumpy material, such as lime- stone, other carbonate materi- als, cement raw materials, or the like. The plant comprises a preheating zone (1), a burn- ing zone (3) and connecting means (20) which connect the material outlet (7) of the pre- heating zone to the material in- let (13) of the burning zone. A separating device (21) is pro- vided as a part of the connect- ing means (20) and consists of a duct (21) through which a gas stream can be induced to flow from below and upwards. So, on entry into the separating duct (21) at the top of the duct, the preheated material will be dispersed in the counterflowing gas stream, whereby the mate- rial is divided into a fine frac- tion which suspended in the gas can be discharged via the discharge means (25) provided at the upper end of the duct, and a fall-through coarse frac- tion which in normal manner can be fed via a connecting means (20) to the material inlet (13) of the burning zone.
On décrit une installation pour un traitement thermique de matériaux en morceaux, tels que le calcaire, d'autres carbonates, des matières premières pour la fabrication du ciment et similaire. L'installation comporte une zone de préchauffage (1), un four (3) et une conduite (20) reliant la sortie (7) de la zone de préchauffage à l'entrée (13) du four. On prévoit un dispositif de séparation (21) qui fait partie de la conduite (20) et qui consiste en une conduite (21) permettant de faire circuler un flux de gaz de bas en haut. Ainsi, en entrant dans la conduite de séparation (21) par le haut, le matériau préchauffé va se disperser dans le flux de gaz venant à contre-courant, ce qui va provoquer la séparation des fines qui restent en suspension dans le gaz et sont évacuées par la sortie (25) aménagée à l'extrémité supérieure de la conduite, pendant que le matériau plus grossier tombe et arrive normalement par la conduite (20) à l'entrée (13) du four.
