A production plant for an elongated metal product is described, which includes, in order, means (1) for producing a metal blank (B) in a first rectilinear direction (x'-x), one or more blooming stands (2) and one or more finishing stands (5), and one or more machines for reeling the wire (F) thus produced. The plant of the invention includes a first production and blooming section (A) centrally located in the first conveyance path (x'-x), a second finishing section (B) centrally located in a second conveyance path (y'-y) extending from a branching-off point (O) on the first path (x'-x), at an angle (i) therewith, and a third section (C) with means (3) for cutting the blank (B) into successive straight bars (G) and means for discharging said bars (G), wherein means (4) for selectively deviating the blank (B) are located at the branching-off point (O).
L'invention a pour objet une installation de production d'un produit métallique allongé, comprenant, l'un à la suite de l'autre, des moyens (1) de production d'une ébauche métallique (E) suivant une première direction rectiligne (x'-x), au moins une cage dégrossisseuse (2) et au moins une cage finisseuse (5), et au moins une machine de bobinage du fil (F), ainsi produit. Selon l'invention, l'installation comporte une première section (A) de production et de dégrossissage centrée sur la première direction de défilement (x'-x) une deuxième section (B) de finissage centrée sur une deuxième direction de défilement (y'-y) s'étendant à partir d'un point de bifurcation (O) placé sur la première direction (x'-x) et faisant avec celle-ci un angle (i) et une troisième section (C) comprenant des moyens (3) de coupe de l'ébauche (E) en barres rectilignes successives (G) et des moyens d'évacuation desdites barres (G), des moyens (4) de déviation sélective de l'ébauche (E) étant placés audit point de bifurcation (O).
