A method for protecting a plant from high temperature stress (HTS), comprising transforming the plant with a polynucleotide sequence. The polynucleotide sequence comprises a nucleotide sequence encoding a sugar kinase under the control of an anther and/or pollen specific promoter, thereby producing a transformed plant having improved tolerance to HTS. Also disclosed is the polynucleotide sequence of the LeFRK4 promoter.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de protection d'une plante contre le stress thermique (HTS), comprenant la transformation de la plante avec une séquence polynucléotidique. La séquence polynucléotidique comporte une séquence nucléotidique codant pour une kinase de sucre sous le contrôle d'un autre promoteur spécifique d'anthère et/ou de pollen, produisant ainsi une plante transformée présentant une tolérance améliorée au stress thermique. L'invention concerne également la séquence polynucléotidique du promoteur LeFRK4.
