A method of controlling plant cell and plant virus growth and/or replication, plant cell cycle, differentiation, development and/or scenescence is provided characterised in that it comprises increasing or decreasing the levels or binding capabilities of GRAB (Geminivirus RepA Binding) proteins other than Rb (Retinoblastoma) proteins within plant cells.
L'invention a trait à un procédé permettant de réguler la croissance et/ou la réplication de cellules végétales et de phytovirus, ainsi que le cycle, la différentiation, le développement et/ou la sénescence de cellules végétales. Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à augmenter ou diminuer les quantités de protéines GRAB (protéines RepA fixatrices des géminivirus), ou leurs capacités de fixation, ces protéines étant différentes des protéines Rb (rétinoblastome) contenues dans les cellules végétales.
