ABSTRACT A plant protector made of a resilient material and in the form of an elongated member having a slit extending the length thereof for receiving the upper rim of a flower pot so as to provide a bead on which the leaves, stems or vines of a plant in the pot may rest without being cut or damaged. The member may be in the form of an elongated tube which has a slit longitudinally extending in a wall thereof so that as the slit in the tube is pushed over the edge of the pot, the tube provides a clamping action to maintain the member in place. The upper curved surface of the tube above the rim provides a rest for the plants.
