The present invention relates to a genotype-independent method for transforming and selecting plant explants. The transformation method includes pre-culturing the explants in the presence of an Agrobacterium inducer and exposing the transformed explants to a shoot regeneration media that accelerates shoot development. Plants generated from this transformation method are provided. In particular, methods for obtaining transgenic Eucalyptus and pine cells and regenerating stably transformed Eucalyptus and pine trees are provided. The invention also provides media, methods, and plasmids for selecting and regenerating plants, particularly forest trees.
La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé indépendant du génotype permettant de transformer et de sélectionner des explants végétaux. Le procédé de transformation consiste à cultiver préalablement les explants en présence d'un inducteur Agrobacterium, et à mettre les explants transformés en contact avec un milieu de régénération de pousses qui accélère le développement des pousses. L'invention concerne également des plantes régénérées à l'aide dudit procédé de transformation. En particulier, l'invention se rapporte à des procédés permettant d'obtenir des cellules d'Eucalyptus et de pins transgéniques, et de régénérer des Eucalyptuset des pins transformés de manière stable. L'invention concerne aussi des milieux, des procédés et des plasmides permettant de sélectionner et de régénérer des plantes, en particulier des arbres forestiers.
