Abstract of the Disclosure A planting device which comprises a planting tube (20) which is vertically displaceably mounted on a supporting frame (16) and which is provided with a hydraulic cylinder (21) acting between the supporting frame and the planting tube for lowe- ring and raising the planting tube. The device further com- prises vertically displaceable mounted a compression device(28) which is provided with a hydraulic cylinder (32) of its own, acting between the planting tube and the compression device. The hydraulic cylinder (21) of the planting tube and the hydraulic cylinder (32) of the compression device are funtional- ly connected to each other so that the hydraulic cylinder of the planting tube is relieved from pressure when the hydraulic cylinder of the compression device is switched under pressure in order to displace the hydraulic cylinder downwards. Hereby the hydraulic cylinder (32) of the compression device can be used for pushing the planting tube upwards to its upper posi- tion immediately after the compression device has been pressed down into the ground, in a continuous pushing movement.
