Disclosed is a plasma display front panel comprising a laminate of a transparent substrate and a synthetic fiber mesh plated with a metal thereon, and offering an adequate shielding against electromagnetic waves from a plasma display. The transparent substrate may preferably be formed from a resinous composition comprising a copolymer of a monomer having an unsaturated double bond and a phosphorus-containing compound, and a copper-containing compound so as to provide a plasma display front panel having excellent electromagnetic shielding performance and an ability of absorbing near-infrared rays.

Panneau frontal à écran plasma, composé d'un laminé de substrat transparent et d'un réseau de fibre synthétique, plaqué avec un métal; il offre une protection efficace contre les ondes électromagnétiques provenant de ce type de panneau. Le substrat transparent est de préférence formé d'une composition résineuse à base d'un copolymère ou d'un monomère renfermant une double liaison insaturée, d'un composé phosphoré et d'un composé du cuivre, de telle façon que le panneau obtenu possède d'excellentes propriétés de protection électromagnétique et la capacité d'absorber le rayonnement dans le proche infra-rouge.
