An apparatus in which in plasma exchange therapy, valuable plasma is recycled as a dialysis solution without disposing of the same, which apparatus is operable with only some modifications applied to the conventional plasma exchange equipment. There is provided a unit for use in plasma exchange therapy characterized in that at least portion of separated plasma is purified, circulated as a dialysis solution and used to dialyze patient~s blood, thereby removing hazardous substances contained in the plasma. There are further provided a plasma exchange apparatus including the above unit and an artificial liver equipped with the apparatus.
La présente invention a trait à un appareil où dans une plasmaphérèse thérapeutique du plasma utile est recyclé sans être rejeté, ledit appareil étant opérable avec seulement quelques modifications à un équipement de plasmaphérèse classique. L'invention a trait à une unité destinée à la plasmaphérèse thérapeutique caractérisée en ce qu'au moins une portion de plasma séparé est purifiée, circulée et utilisée pour la dialyse du sang de patient, éliminant ainsi des substances nuisibles contenues dans le plasma. L'invention a également trait à un appareil de plasmaphérèse comprenant ladite unité et un foie artificiel équipé d'un tel appareil.
