Before treating plasma or serum to be used as a starting material for producing a plasma preparation or a serum preparation with the use of a virus-removing membrane, leucocytes contaminating the blood are eliminated. Thus, a plasma preparation or a serum preparation with an extremely low risk of viral contamination is produced while preventing clogging. Since clogging scarcely arises, filtration can be efficiently carried out without applying an elevated pressure as the filtration proceeds.
