Abstract of the Disclosure A wheel trim assembly for attachment to a vehicle wheel has been provided in which a plastic body member is cov- ered with a thin metal cover member so that a composite wheel trim assembly results in which selected portions have a metal finish. The metal cover member not only furnishes the metal finish to the selected areas but also acts to reinforce the plastic body member so that thinner sections of plastic can be used. In one embodiment of the invention the metal cover member also can be used to secure the wheel retention system in position relative to the plastic body member.
