A molded plastic bottle (10) has a base (24) having an outside surface rotationally symmetric about a longitudinal axis of the bottle including a convex heel (26) and a central concavity (28) separated by a standing ring (30) supporting the bottle on an underlying surface (S). The convex heel has an upper margin (32) integrally formed with the sidewall (22) of the bottle and a lower margin (34) defining an outer portion (36) of the standing ring (30). The central concavity (28) includes a first surface (40) having a lower most portion (42) defining an inner portion (44) of the standing ring (30). The standing ring inner portion (44) and outer portion (36) intersect in an abrupt edge with the inner portion (44) of the standing ring generally being inclined with respect to the plane (S) at an angle of between about 30~ and 50~.
L'invention concerne une bouteille en plastique (10) moulée dont le fond (24) présente une surface extérieure à symétrie de révolution autour de l'axe longitudinal de la bouteille et comprenant un talon convexe (26) et une concavité centrale (28) séparés par un anneau de support (30) destiné à soutenir la bouteille sur une surface d'appui (S). Le talon convexe présente une marge supérieure (32) ne formant qu'une seule pièce avec la paroi latérale (22) de la bouteille, et une marge inférieure (34) qui définit une partie extérieure (36) de l'anneau de support (30). La concavité centrale (28) comprend une première surface (40) présentant une partie inférieure extrême (42) définissant une partie intérieure (44) de l'anneau de support (30).
