A plastic box or box element, in particular for a compact disc, comprising in a per se known manner, two elements such as a lid (1) and a base (2) both made of moulded plastic and hinged together by means of at least one hinge (3). According to the invention, said box comprises a flexible sheet (4) of synthetic material moulded over each of said elements (1, 2) and having a free immediate portion (40) which alone forms said hinge (3). The box is useful as a protective box for a variety of articles such as compact discs.

De manière connue, ce boîtier ou élément de boîtier est composé de deux éléments, tels qu'un couvercle (1) et un fond (2) tous deux en matière plastique moulée, articulés l'un à l'autre par au moins une charnière (3); conformément à l'invention, il comporte une feuille souple (4) en matière synthétique qui fixée par surmoulage à chacun desdits éléments (1, 2) et dont une zone libre intermédiaire (40) constitue, à elle seule, ladite charnière (3). Boîtier protecteur pouvant recevoir divers articles, par exemple des disques compacts.
