The plastic container (10, 100, 200) includes a hollow body of plastic material having a lower supporting base (12, 112, 212) a sidewall extending upwardly from the lower base and an upper neck portion (16, 16, 216) extending upwardly from the sidewall with an opening therein. The sidewall includes at least one panel (36, 136, 236) having a central region (38, 138, 238) and an outer boundary (40, 140, 240), with the outer boundary being depressed with respect to the central region.
