The container (10) includes a hollow body of plastic material having a lower supporting base (16), a sidewall (18) extending upwardly from the base, a shoulder portion (20) extending upwardly from the sidewall and an upper neck portion (22) with an opening (24) therein extending upwardly from the shoulder portion. The neck portion includes at least one engagement surface which fits together with at least one engagement surface on a separately formed handle (14) to form at least one projection seated in at least one groove.
