A solid ionic electrolyte having a neutral organic plastic crystal matrix doped with an ionic salt may be used in an electrochemical device having an anode comprising a Li-containing material having an electrochemical potential within about 1.3 V of lithium metal. Electrochemical devices are disclosed having a cathode, an anode of a Li-containing material having an electrochemical potential within about 1.3 V of lithium metal, and a solid ionic electrolyte having a neutral organic plastic crystal matrix doped with an ionic salt. Such devices have high energy density delivery capacity combined with the favourable properties of a neutral organic plastic crystal matrix such as succinonitrile.
La présente invention concerne un électrolyte ionique solide comprenant une matrice en cristaux de plastique organique neutre dopée avec un sel ionique, qui peut être utilisé dans un dispositif électrochimique comportant une anode comprenant un matériau contenant du Li ayant un potentiel électrochimique d'environ 1,3 V de métal lithium. L~invention concerne également des dispositifs électrochimiques comportant une cathode, une anode d'un matériau contenant du Li ayant un potentiel électrochimique d'environ 1,3 V de métal lithium et un électrolyte ionique solide comprenant une matrice cristalline en plastique organique neutre dopée avec un sel ionique. De tels dispositifs présentent une capacité élevée de libération de densité énergétique combinée aux propriétés favorables d'une matrice en cristaux de plastique organique neutre tel que le succinonitrile.
