ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A plastic shoe cushion insole comprising foamed closed-cell cross- linked polyolefin of higher density in the region adjacent the wearer's foot than in regions away from this,adjacent the supporting shoe surface. The insole comprises a laminate of a plurality of layers of foamed poly- olefin webs or sheets of different densities, may preferably be polyethylene and has a specific gravity of about 0.06 to 0.175 in regions adjacent the wearer's foot, whereas in regions away from this,adjacent the underside of the insole, the specific gravity is from about 0.03 to 0.08.
