En particulier, ce dispositif comprend un système pneumatique (1) apte à déformer par aspiration une enveloppe (3) à contrôler et à mesurer une variation de pression liée à cette déformation sur la base de laquelle l'enveloppe contrôlée est détectée comme enveloppe en papier ou comme enveloppe en matière plastique. Ce détecteur peut être adjoint à un détecteur fonctionnant par effet optique pour commander un dispositif d'étiquetage d'un équipement de traitement d'articles plats.
