An extrusion (22) for use in a floor assembly that is secured to a rigid underlying support (10, 12, 14). The extrusion has an exposed surface (30) and a base section (64) underlying the exposed surface. The extrusion is made of first extruded material, preferably a hard polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and more preferably a co-extrusion of a recycled polyvinyl chloride substrate (64) covered by a weatherable polyvinyl chloride capstock (66). The base section has at least a portion (102, 104 106 108) thereof including a second extruded material which is interposed between the plastic extrusion and the rigid underlying support when the plastic extrusion is secured to the rigid underlying support. The second extruded material resists undesired squeaking from occurring when weight bearing loads move on the floor assembly. A floor assembly adapted to be secured to an underlying rigid support and a complete floor assembly and rigid underlying support are also disclosed.

Ledit produit d'extrusion a une face exposée (30) et une section support (64) sous-jacente à ladite face exposée. Ce produit est fait d'un premier matériau extrudé, de préférence un polychlorure de vinyle (PVC) dur et de préférence encore une extrusion en couches multiples d'un substrat (64) en polychlorure de vinyle recyclé recouvert d'un matériau de protection (66) en polychlorure de vinyle résistant aux intempéries. La section support comporte au moins une partie (102, 104, 106, 108) incluant un second matériau extrudé interposé entre le produit d'extrusion en plastique et le support sous-jacent rigide lorsque le produit d'extrusion en plastique est fixé audit support. Le second matériau extrudé évite les grincements indésirables lorsque des charges lourdes se déplacent sur l'ensemble plancher. L'invention concerne également un ensemble plancher conçu pour être fixé à un support sous-jacent rigide et un ensemble plancher et support sous-jacent rigide complet.
