A plastic material made from a polymer blend, characterized in that said material contains at least one lignin-based natural polymer, especially based on alkalilignin produced during the extraction of cellulose, and at least one other synthetic and/or natural polymer that increases the impact resistance, proteins excepted. The inventive plastic material has excellent characteristics. It is biodegradable on account of the natural polymer content and has, to a considerable extent, an ecologically neutral CO2 balance. The polymer blend can be used advantageously in place of hitherto used wood or wood materials.

L'invention concerne une matière plastique constituée d'un alliage de polymères, caractérisée en ce qu'elle contient au moins un polymère naturel à base de lignine, en particulier de la lignine alcaline produite lors de l'extraction de cellulose, et au moins un autre polymère synthétique et/ou naturel, à l'exception des protéines, qui améliore la résistance au choc. Cette matière plastique présente d'excellentes propriétés, est biodégradable en raison de sa teneur en polymère naturel, et présente un bilan du CO¿2? qui, dans une large mesure est écologiquement neutre. Cet alliage de polymères s'utilise de manière avantageuse dans les domaines où étaient employés jusqu'à maintenant du bois ou des matériaux dérivés du bois.
