PLASTIC MOLDING FORMULATION REINFORCED WITH ORGANIC FIBERS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A plastic formulation is disclosed suitable for the manufacture of tile and the like. The formula com- prises an intimate mixture of a resin and an organic fibrous filler. In accordance with this invention, the plastic formulation also comprises, in uniform dispersion, from 20 per cent to 80 per cent by weight of a particu- late filler such as calcium carbonate, having a particle size of no more than 20 microns. This extremely fine particulate filler facilitates the uniform dispersion of the organic, fibrous filler.
