ABSTRACT An improved tear-open container for liquids is disclosed. The container is an elongate pouch formed from plastic or other suitable material. A sealed slot traverses much of the width of the pouch proximate to one end thereof, the space between the end of the slot and the opposite side of the container defining a nozzle. The portion of the container distal of the slot constitutes a tab which when grapsed and torn from the container opens the container at the nozzle. The nozzle dimensions and the amount of liquid in the container are such that the potential for spillage is minimized. The containers are adapted for production in arrays, the individual containers being easily separable from each other, to facilitate production, filling, handling and packaging.
